Take Back Our Mountains non-profitEnvironmental clean-ups
Over 1,000 bags of litter out of the Masiphumelele wetlands in 2023 alone.

Our volunteers regularly clean up Table Mountain National Park, city areas, beaches and wetlands. Litter pollutes soil and fresh water and harms people and animals alike: around 60% of water pollution comes from litter.
Wetlands are home to a huge variety of plants and animals, and they protect us from floods, clean our water and stop erosion. In the Masiphumelele wetlands alone, we removed over 1,000 bags of litter in 2023. Through the Eco Warriors partnership with Blue Ribbon, we now run clean-ups every month.
