This page explains what happens to your information when you contact Take Back Our Mountains or TBOM Tourism, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What this website collects

Nothing. There is no form, no account and no advertising cookie. The WhatsApp and email buttons only open a message on your own phone or computer, which you choose whether to send. Donations by card are handled by Yoco on its own secure page. YouTube videos only load, and only set YouTube’s cookies, if you press play.

What you send us

If you message or email us, we keep your name, contact details and booking details, and any medical or dietary information you share on the enrolment and indemnity forms, so we can run your hike, tour or transfer safely. We never sell it or share it for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@takebackourmountains.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
