Guided hike on the eastern slopes of Table MountainNewlands Forest
Newlands Forest is a lush, shaded hike on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, a cooler and quieter choice than the exposed routes. It is a network of trails rather than one fixed route, from easy forest walks to steeper paths up towards Devil’s Peak and the ridges around it.
It was once a vital source of timber for the early Cape colony.
