Private chauffeur tour from Cape TownHermanus
Hermanus is about 120 km from Cape Town on Walker Bay. Take the scenic coastal road past the penguin colony at Stony Point in Betty’s Bay, then walk the Cliff Path in Hermanus, where whales often come close enough to see from the rocks. The old harbour, the market and the seafront restaurants fill the rest of the day.
Hermanus is known as one of the best places in the world to watch whales from land. Southern right whales come into Walker Bay from about June to November, with the most sightings around September and October.
